Scheduled Servicing

Scheduled Servicing: Vehicle services are designed to identify any issues a car may have before any repairs or part replacements are carried out. A car service is not a legal requirement, but manufacturers recommend the vehicle be serviced on a regular basis to keep it running smoothly for as long as possible. Experts agree that your oil and filter should be changed anywhere between 3,000 to 6,000 miles, depending on the age of your vehicle and the type of oil that is used.

Another factor to consider when servicing a vehicle is an emissions test, which determines the level of air pollutants emitted from the exhaust of a motor vehicle. Most vehicles have their exhaust emissions tested as part of the MOT. Usually, they’re tested using a meter. The objective of an emissions test is to measure that the vehicle’s emissions are in line with the legally permissible amount and help reduce the amount of pollutants that are harmful to the environment. The gases tested for are Carbon Dioxide (CO2) which is a greenhouse gas and substances like Carbon Monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), oxides of nitrogen (Nix) and particles which impact the quality of air we breathe.
